In Ms. Trish's K-5th grade class, this Sunday August 30, the children will build our Blanket Fort 3.0 to commemorate the last day of the "Summer Can Do" series. We'll also make s'mores in my portable oven, and paint some rocks if we have time! We are flowing back into Soul Matters curriculum next week!

Pieces of Beloved Community: An Intergenerational Mosaic Experience 

Sunday, September 13, 2026 Immediately following worship | Approx 60–75 minutes

Children’s Spiritual Exploration and the Racial Justice Team invite children, youth, adults, and elders to help create The Beloved Community Mosaic, a permanent collaborative artwork shaped by the many voices, experiences, and hopes within UU St. Pete.

One person cannot make a mosaic. Every piece contributes something different to the whole. Together, we will explore an important question:

What does it mean for people of every age to help build a community where everyone can belong, flourish, and be treated justly?

Participants will receive a Beloved Community Passport and move freely among creative, reflective, and interactive activities. There is no required rotation, and everyone may participate at their own pace.

This is not simply a children’s event, and it is not an adult racial justice workshop. It belongs to all of us.

No special artistic ability or previous experience is needed. Come ready to create, listen, reflect, and add your piece to something larger than any one of us.
