Nadya Hand, Interim Music Director

Nadya is from a theologically, culturally, and musically diverse background.  She was raised as a Lutheran and Army brat both in the US and abroad (including Germany, Belarus, and Holland), and converted to UU when she was 17.

She learned about Unitarian Universalism through her grandmother, who was a member of UU Clearwater.  She quickly became involved in both district and continental leadership as a Young Adult, and is now serving as the Florida District Young Adult Representative, and a member of the Florida District Leadership Council.

Her interest in music has been present throughout her life, and now manifests itself in composition, voice, cello, and conducting.  She has conducted with UU Clearwater, UU Tampa, Delphi Academy Children's Choir, and at several of our district and cluster events.   Nadya is currently studying music and religion as a Junior at the University of South Florida.

Peter Schultes, Office Manager

Peter comes to us bringing a wealth of work experience.   Among his many occupations, he has been a cook, a replacement window salesperson, used car salesman, personnel manager, bowling center manager, motel manager, promoter - and a minister.    Before becoming our Office Manager, Peter was the pastor of a small Presbyterian church in NW Ohio for eleven years.

As a bowling center/lounge manager, Peter contributed to the reconstruction of the center after it was destroyed by fire. (He was the last one out),     When he came to Florida in February 2002, with his varied experience, he expected that finding a job would be a cinch.  Fortunately he found the church, and we're delighted he did.
