Mingles November Events - Updated 10/26/2019

Mingles is the new name for our series of fun events hosted by UUSP members and friends to raise funds for our budget while having a great time together.  You'll see that we already have a wonderful variety of events - and more are coming!   The hosts pick up the tab so you can support the church while having a great time.  Come join the fun!

Ghost Storytelling Tour:  Sunday, November 3, 6:00 – 7:30pm, at John’s Pass (Rain Date – November 10)

For a perfect end to your Halloween season, join Geneva Nelson for one of her popular storytelling tours at John’s Pass in Madeira Beach.  Enjoy the spooky stories, the John’s Pass sights, and good company! 
Limited to 22 people     $15: for ages 13 and older; $10: for ages 4-12


Comedy Tonight! (And supper, too!): Saturday, November 9, 6:00pm, 2847 1st St NE

“Nothing that’s formal, Nothing that’s normal, Something for everyone, A comedy tonight!”

Jean and Denis Calandra will treat their guests to a friendly introduction to improvisation, a key ingredient in happy living.  Through game and drama-based activities, you will make your way to some energy-boosting, heart-lifting short improvisations.  The menu includes meat and vegetarian sliders, couscous, Greek salad, and pies, wine, beer, soft beverages.  Limited to 18 people          $30 each      (deadline – November 3) 


“Hope, Love and Courage” Concert and Reception: Saturday, November 23, 7:30pm, at UUSP 

Join our own Jon Arterton and James Mack, founders of the One City Chorus, for some of their favorite songs, accompanied by Aaron Cassette.  Followed by a casual reception in Gilmour Hall. 
$20 in advance, $25 at the door

Elegant Afternoon Tea: Sunday, January 19, 2020,  2pm - 5pm

Spend an afternoon as if you were at an English country house – enjoy dainty sandwiches, scones, a tea selection and more.  Hosted by Linda Paul in her Kenwood home.


Poolside Party: Saturday, March 14,  2pm - 6pm Hosted by Amy Putkonen

Fun in the spring sunshine!  Poolside party, swimming if you like, food, drinks – the works! 


Mexican Train Dominoes: Sunday, March 15, 2020,  2pm - 5pm 

Come play with Margie Davis at her Gulfport Home.  Sweet and savory treats served in the dining car. Margie will teach you how to play!  (But not how to beat her…)


Creativity Dessert Salon:  Saturday, March 21, 2020, 7pm - 10pm

Hosted by Jane Bunker and Mason Morfit in their Gulfport home.  Come and share some of your creativity: story telling, visual art, dance, music, poetry - any other creative activity you explore. Each will have up to 5 minutes to share. You are also welcome to come as an appreciator! A big variety of healthy vegan, gluten and sugar-free desserts. 


Third Annual Old NE Progressive Dinner:  Saturday, April 4, 2020

Patti Hanks, Tamera Boudreau and Sarah Craig host this three-stop stroll through the Old NE neighborhood for appetizers, meal, and desserts.
